nce upon a time, many years ago, when my kids were tots I went in search of designs to knit on their jumpers. These were few and far between. I decided to design my own patterns which soon became garments for both my kids and the children of friends. My artwork sat around at the bottom of a drawer for many years until I set aside some time to enjoy my design work again. The designs were then turned into books of which five or six were published from back in the early 80's up to the present day. (Two are in the Australian National Library.) Having gone electronic as the era dictates (and isn't it a wonderful innovation?), I enjoy designing most of all. Being able to create, edit, colour and change designs at leisure.

My husband Tony and I live in an old historical homestead called "Kullindi" which has been in Tony's family for 120 years. At the homestead we run a guest house. Our tea room offers Devonshire Teas with home made scones, best enjoyed on the lawns in the shade of 100 year old pine trees. We have a salt water estuary fed from the Pacific Ocean at the front of the property with the Jervis Bay National Park behind us. A pleasant time can be had just observing the passing water craft. We open in spring, continue through the long warm summer months and usually close the dining room after Easter in our autumn.

During winter when everyone has gone off snow skiing in our Aussie Alps, there is time between maintenance chores, to do what I like best - designing patterns and charts, suitable for knitting, cross stitch or tapestry.

Leaving you in stitches......
