Where:
Bomaderry High School - Cambewarra Rd, Bomaderry, 50 mins south of Wollongong.
When: 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
Start Time: Rego 9:30am, Racing commencing by 10:00am.
Don't forget to bring spare crystals to avoid disappointment!
Classes: Touring Cars 540 (standard silver kit motor),
Touring Cars 27-turn rebuildable stock, Tamiya Mini's (standard motor
& gearing), Outlaw Mini (4WD Minis and non-stock Tamiyas), and Nitro
powered (pullstart and pro cars are run separately if there are enough
entrants).
Race Format: Normally 3 heats and 1 final for all classes.
Limited practice is available during pre-race registration and break
before the finals round. Control of practice sessions is by frequency
tag board. Racers are required to perform marshalling duties and also
help in the preparation and and packing up of the track.
Track: Twin outdoor concrete basketball courts (around
30m x 25m). Track borders are 50mm fire hose secured by large 450mm
bright painted steel corner markers. Witches hats are also employed
on most corners to help define the corners. Typically 20-25 laps
can be achieved in 5 minutes depending on the layout design of the day.
Facilities: Undercover pit area with 240V and toilets.
Big drivers stand (retaining wall and hand rail). Computer lap counting.
Plenty of parking adjacent to track. Fast food available 2mins up the
road.
