A few years ago I took the plunge into internal combustion glow plug engined tourers (also known as gas or nitro cars). These beasties are a challenge to race as they are a little heavier and develop huge power.  Serious competition racers tend to race modified electric cars as they can match the performance of these cars but with less tuning headaches, but nitro is the growth class of the hobby.  If you have never seen these babies run, get down to your nearest track. You will be blown away!!!!

 

The OB4 is an affordable but capable racing car with high tunability but many people (including me) have had big problems with this car because the manual does not give good setup advice. This chassis is an excellent ride for the pullstart class where there is hot competition between many manufacturers. The OB4 is up there with class leaders such as the legendary Kyosho V1-S. Here is  what I found worked well on this car;
