THE 'LITTLE PEBBLE' - THE LAST POPE
Extract from Volume 2 Chapter 5
(edited for this website)

Croatia is a wonderful country of many
different States, several of which I have visited on my overseas journeys. Many
Seers have been raised over the years in this part of Eastern Europe and a good
number of them have maintained unity with me and my mission.
In 1990 I met a Publisher of a Magazine named
Darko Gopttlichen of Zagreb, while in Munich Germany. I told him of a prophecy
for Croatia which was to do with the war; I also mentioned this while I
travelled in Hungary. This prophecy was fulfilled a few months later to the
astonishment of the Publisher.
Terezija
Hrgarek
This elderly Seer and Mystic, Therezija Hrgarek
of Zagreb, was much loved by the people of Croatia who referred to her
affectionately as "Grandma" Therezija
As I had travelled much in Eastern Europe over
the years, I came to know many Seers well. Therezija followed my Mission and had
had many revelations about the 'Little Pebble' since 1960. I met her in 1987
when I was in Croatia. She had her own Saint Charbel House of Prayer, and
Jesus Himself had told her that: "The 'Little Pebble' will be Pope, and
no one can change that." Therezija wrote to me many times to tell me
what Jesus and Mary had instructed her, and Their directions for me. She
remained united to me and defended me until her death. In 1995, I was told by
those about her that she prayed for me, constantly, and eagerly awaited the time
when I would be proclaimed Pope. She asked Heaven when my Papacy would begin,
and Their reply to her was 1999.
In December, 1996, Therezija was taken to the
hospital in Zagreb. She was ninety-one years old and failing. However, she
continued to make it plain to all that she believed, totally, in the 'Little
Pebble' and, although he would suffer much, he would be victorious in the end.
Therezija died shortly afterwards, but it is interesting to note that for many
years she had lived in the same street and been friends with another famous
Mystic and Seer, Julia (Julka Simicic). I remember Therezja writing about Julia
in 1990 stating that she also had visions of me and believed in me as the
'Little Pebble'.
I met many other Seers and privileged Souls in Croatia. One of these was a young Seer from Split, Adriana, who had many
Apparitions in her local Church. She, too, spoke with me and defended my
Mission. The other good souls, Amanda Stampaliga and Joseph Miroworiz, were of
enormous assistance to the Mission of Our Lady in Croatia, and were loyal and
faithful workers. I remember her often with fond love and gratitude. I have
always believed in the Apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje and have visited
the Site. In March, 1989, I was in Rome, invited by Jesus to see the Pope, and I
was accepted by several Seers. I also met Vicka of Medjugorje as she was with
the other Seers from Croatia who had come to see the Pope. One, Ivan Lepinski,
of Zabreb, was there also and on 7th June, 1990, he received this Message from
Jesus:
JESUS: "The
meeting with Pope John Paul did not happen because of disagreements between John
Paul II and the Cardinals. The Holy Father was inspired by the Holy Ghost to
meet the `Little Pebble', but because the Pope works to keep the Church
together, he disobeyed, but Satan interfered." (Jesus said to Ivan)
"Pray for the Pope as he disobeyed the Eternal Father." (and Jesus
said) "Comfort your brother `Little Pebble' because I love him very much.
Mother loves him very much, too."
Julia
(Julka Simicic)
Julia is a well known Mystic. She was born in
the early 1920's, the eldest daughter of thirteen children. Her parents were
poor but truly Christian, and God instilled into Julia a love of prayer and
solitude, even from her earliest years. Julia was particularly devoted to the
Rosary of Our Lady and the Cross of Our Lord. She had a number of Heavenly
experiences in her youth, but in her simplicity and humility thought everyone
had similar things happen to them. She had always desired to become a Nun, but
as her parents were poor and could not afford the traditional dowry, she was
persuaded to marry. She had two sons, one dying shortly after birth and towards
the end of World War II, her young husband was killed during an enemy
bombardment.
Julia decided never to marry again and
Consecrated her life to God. It was at this time that Jesus appeared to her and
gave her a mission. It is the primary mission of all Seers to preserve and
confirm in all souls and in the Church the eternal and changeless Teaching of
Our Divine Lord. Julia was commissioned to pray much for the souls on earth who
committed so much sin, and to make reparation for them. Our Lord gave her many
visions and instructions so she understood the evil in the world, not only in
cities and countries, but also in the souls of individuals.
Three volumes of Julia's visions were put into
print with the Blessing of Pope Paul VI under the Title "Jesus Calls
us". She herself revealed to many souls that I would be the last Pope.
Julia had known of my existence since I was five years old when our Lady had
taken me to her, and Julia and I had played in her garden and she had taught me
the Rosary. As I have said, this beautiful lady was united with me, and one of
her Priest friends, Father Bogan, used to correspond with me. Father Bogan was
friendly with Father Peter Paven, of Medjugorje, who was well acquainted with my
messages.
Other Seers of Croatia:
Ivana
Tomasevic
In 1990 the young Seer Ivana Tomasevic of the
city of Split, Croatia, united to me. She is also well known in that country.
Barto
Helena
Also the Seer Barto Helena of Croatia, united to
me in the same year. She is a very great Mystic of that country, and well known.
Josip
Mironovic
I wish here to thank the very important Disciple
of Croatia, Josip Mironovic, of Zagreb, and his people who have supported me
through many trials over the years.
Anthony Stefanac
Also, I wish to thank Anthony Stefanac of
Canada, of Croatian descent - for helping me and the people of his homeland in
the distribution of my Messages.
Ranka
Jovic
The following is an excerpt of a Message given
to Ranka Jovic, Seer of Croatia, in April,
1997 (Translated from Croatian)
THE MOST HOLY TRINITY:
"...A married man will be put on the seat of Peter. This is God's will;
you do not need to know why. You have to follow instructions given by God, and
listen to Prophets - but do not persecute them as before! You may try to kill
the bodies, but you cannot kill souls...."
Brother
Ivan Lepinski
In 1990 another well-known Seer united with me
from Zagreb, Croatia, Br. Ivan Lepinski. He was a member of the Prayer Groups
of St. Charbel, and he received messages supporting me. But when Bettina became
my wife in 1991 he separated from me and other Seers united to me.
Goran
Marijanovic
In 1987 - 1989: I met a Seer named Goran
Marijanovic of Split. He was one of the main Seers with Adriana who received
messages in the Church. Many believed. His mission was to place a white cross
upon a mountain. This was achieved as he asked for my help and directions.
However, he went against me once I found out that he used the funds collected
for him on a car - not the cross. Therefore, I told people to stop supporting
him.
Maria
Litto
Another little girl named Maria Litto, Seer of
Split, was united with me.
Medjugorje
Seers
In 1986-1987 a Priest Father Bogden Cvetkovic,
from Croatia and friend of Father Peter the Chaplain of Medjugorje; also,
friend of the famous Seer, Julia, began to contact me by letter advising me that
all Seers of Medjugorje were familiar with my messages. He translated my
messages and spread them throughout Croatia. Fr. Peter said the children of
Medjugorje were happy to receive me that year of 1987. I was invited to the Mass
in Medjugorje - the invitation coming from Fr. Tomislav Pervan, through Father
Bogden.
Anna
Boras
Another Seer, very well known in her country,
was Anna Boras of Zargreb. Anna was born on Easter Sunday in 1954, and has been
receiving Apparitions of Jesus and Mary since May, 1973. She is unmarried and
lives a life of prayer, meditation and mortification, and suffers for the
Croatian people. She wrote to me in 1992 about her visions and I replied,
thanking her for her unity and encouraging her in her Spiritual life.
Medjugorje Apparition
Bishop
of Mostar's Statement
The Bishop of Mostar, the Most Reverend Mgr.
Pavao Zanic, issued this public Declaration on the subject of Medjugorje.
My Brothers and Sisters,
25th July, 1987
On this occasion, you are perhaps expecting
me to say a few words about these events into consideration, and, in so far as
they concern Her, She entrusts their examination to certain persons and
commissions. You know that this matter is now under discussion at the level of a
special commission recently established by the Bishop's Conference of
Yugoslavia. The Church, in fact, cannot put Her credibility at risk before the
world of the 20th Century, ever ready to criticize and deride this or
that...
I can tell you that I have spent six years
praying, studying, and I have kept silent. There are others too who have prayed,
and I am most grateful to them. In each of my Masses, I have included an
intention for Medjugorje. Every day in praying my Rosary, I have begged Our Lady
to obtain God's light for me. I have also prayed to the Holy Spirit. This has
greatly helped me to gain a strong and sure conviction concerning all that I
have heard, read and seen. In this place, there are many who fast and pray much,
but it is all done in the conviction that these events are supernatural. To
preach to the faithful untruths about God, Jesus Christ, and Our Lady is
deserving of the bottommost depths of hell.
In all my work, prayer and study, I have only
one aim in mind: to get to the truth. To this end, I set up a commission of four
members in 1982. Then later, I enlarged the commission to fifteen members with
the help of other bishops and provincial superiors. The commission members are
drawn from nine theological faculties, from seven dioceses, from four provinces,
two of whom are eminent psychiatrists. The members were, of course, able to
consult with other colleagues. The work took three years. The Holy See has been
kept regularly informed of this work as well as of the events. At the present
time, the commission set up by the Yugoslav Bishops' conference is continuing to
work on the question.
Various Ecclesiastical Authorities have
attempted to put a stop to the pilgrimages. In the meanwhile, however, some have
rushed forward and have anticipated the Church's judgement: they have proclaimed
"Miracles and Supernatural Events" even from the altar - a thing which
is never permitted until the Church recognizes such private revelations as
authentic. That is why various authorities have ordered an end to the
organization of pilgrimages whilst awaiting the Church's judgement. The
commission for Medjugorje gave the first warning on 24 March 1984, but
unfortunately without result.
Then in October of the same year, the
Bishops' Conference stated that the organization of official pilgrimages to
Medjugorje was not permitted. By 'official' is meant all pilgrimages made up of
faithful who set out and arrive together and who do exercises here in common.
But that was also useless. Then on 23rd May 1985, the Congregation for the
Doctrine of the Faith addressed a letter to the Italian Bishops' Conference
asking them to discourage organized pilgrimages from Italy and every form of
propaganda.
Again, all this was without effect. Finally,
when the second commission was set up, Cardinal Franjo Kuharic and I made a
public declaration in the name of the Yugoslav Bishops' Conference on 9th
January 1987 saying: "Consequently, it is not permitted for pilgrimages to
be organized or for other manifestations motivated by the supernatural character
supposedly attributable to the events of Medjugorje." This was declared
from the highest authority of the Yugoslav Church and must be respected. It
cannot be disregarded as though nothing had been said.
The Works of the Diocesan Commission have
ended in a Negative Conclusion: From the very first news announcing
extraordinary events in this parish, the Bishop's office has carefully followed
and picked up anything which could help in searching for the truth. I left the
'Seers' and the pastors of the parish in complete freedom. I even defended them
from attacks in political circles.
For three years, the fifteen member
commission formed of theology professors and doctors went through the recorded
dialogue and much written material: chronicles, diaries, letters and documents,
with the following result: two members of the commission voted in favour (of the
apparitions being supernatural); one abstained; one other noted that
"perhaps there had been something at the beginning, but then...?" The
other eleven members voted against 'Non constat de supernaturalitate', meaning
there were no Apparitions.
I am profoundly aware that all the commission
members worked conscientiously and examined everything that could help in their
search for the truth. The Church cannot risk Her credibility. We know of similar
cases where the Church has carefully examined such events and has deterred the
multitudes from gathering at places where the events were found to be not
supernatural. We call to mind Garabandal in Spain, San Damiano in Italy together
with many other places in recent years. At Garabandal, the visionaries said that
Our Lady had promised a big sign for all the world to see. Twenty five years
have passed and still no sign. Here likewise, if Our Lady had left her sign,
everything would be clear.
Oh Blessed Virgin, what have they done with
You? According to the 'Seers', Our Lady began to appear at Podbrdo on Crnica
hill; when the Police stopped people going there, she came down into houses,
gardens, fields, vineyards, tobacco plantations; she was seen in church, on the
altar, in the sacristy, on the roof, on the belfry, in the street on the way to
Cerno, in cars and buses, in school, at several places in Mostar and Sarajevo,
in convents in Zagreb, at Varazdin, in Switzerland, in Italy, again on mount
Krizevac, in the presbytery etc. And this list is not even half of the places of
the supposed apparition. Any serious person with respect for Our Lady is bound
to ask: "Oh Blessed Virgin, what have they done with You?"
I Forbid Priest Pilgrims to Medjugorje to
Celebrate Mass in My Diocese: I am Pastor, Teacher and Judge in matters of faith
in this diocese, by Divine Law. Since the events of Medjugorje have caused
tension and division in the Church - some believe and others do not - and since
all this has escaped the Church's control, and since all the recommendations and
decisions of afore-mentioned tribunals - the Commission, the Congregation for
the Doctrine of the Faith, the Yugoslav Episcopal Conference - have remained
without effect, I, the Bishop of Mostar, responsible before God for discipline
in my diocese, repeat and ratify all the previous decisions of the Church's
Tribunals, and I forbid all Priests who organize pilgrimages to this place,
attributing a Supernatural character to the events here, to celebrate Mass in my
diocese until the Episcopal Conference has completed its work.
The Unquestionable Sign of the In authenticity
of the Apparitions of Medjugorje: I appeal to You, Immaculate Virgin and Mother,
Mother of God and Mother of the Church, Mother of this people who seek You, pray
to You and love You. I appeal to you as your servant, Bishop of Mostar, and
before all the world I express my profound and firm faith in all the privileges
God has bestowed on You - privileges that make of You the first and most highly
favoured of creatures. I express my profound and firm faith in Your
intercession, which makes you the Mediatrix with Almighty God for all your
children's needs in this valley of tears. I express my profound and firm faith
in your love for us sinners - a love which You have manifested through Your
apparitions and through the help You have given us. I myself have led
pilgrimages to Lourdes.
Truly, with the strength of that faith, I,
Your servant, the Bishop of Mostar, before all the multitudes who have called
upon You, declare that I have discovered and that I accept Your great sign,
which has become clear and certain after six years. I myself had no need of any
special sign, but it was necessary for those who believed in things that were
untrue. This sign is your SILENCE. For six years You have remained silent
despite repeated announcements that You would give a sign. Already in 1981, the
'Seers' were saying: "There will be a visible and lasting sign on the hill
of the Apparitions; it will come soon, you will see in a short time. Wait a
little longer, be patient." And again, "The sign will be on the Feast
of the Immaculate Conception 1981, then at Christmas, then for New Year's Day,
etc..." I thank you, Our Lady, for having made sufficiently clear through
Your six year long silence whether You have truly spoken or not, whether You
have really appeared, whether You did give messages and secrets, and whether or
not You did promise a particular sign.
Oh Blessed Virgin, Deign to put an end to the
spread of Messages that are not from You! Virgin Most Holy, Mother of Christ and
our Mother, deign to intercede for peace in this turbulent Ecclesiastical
Province, in this Diocese of Mostar. Intervene especially in favour of this
place and for this parish, where many times Your holy Name has been used to
preach messages that were not from You. Deign to put a stop to the fabrication
of such messages purporting to come from You. And finally, may you accept, Most
Holy Virgin, as satisfaction the sincere prayers of devout souls who remain
aloof from all fanaticism and from all disobedience towards the Church. Grant
that we may all recover the authentic truth. Oh Blessed Virgin, humble and
obedient Handmaid of the Lord, give strength that our Medjugorje may walk with a
sure step behind the Pastor of this local Church and may all of us all together
be enabled to Praise and Glorify You in truth and love. Amen!
+Pavao Zanic
Bishop of Mostar
After studying this document I wrote to the
Bishop, at length, asking him to reconsider his Declaration. A Copy of my letter
follows:
August, 1987
His Lordship,
Most Rev. Mgr Pavao Zanic
Bishop of Mostar,
YUGOSLAVIA
Your Lordship,
The Grace of Jesus Christ, the Living God,
be with you always.
My name is William Kamm, commonly known in
the world as the 'Little Pebble'. I am a Seer of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
having received Public Messages since 1983. The purpose of this letter is to
ask Your Grace to reconsider your stand that you have made upon the Apparition
of Medjugorje. It is in response to the statement issued on the 25th of July,
1987, at the Parish Church of Medjugorje. It is quite evident from the
Statement made, that it is from the culmination of a considerable amount of
research and study into this case of reported Heavenly Manifestations.
However, even though your statement of fact was delivered with much eloquence
I beg to differ with your opinion and those of the commission, even though, if
not otherwise informed, I would agree with the many suppositions raised to
disprove the said Apparitions. However, I wish to point out some facts which
give full credence to the truth and genuineness of the Apparition.
First and foremost, I wish to point out
that an Apparition, is not solely approved to be genuine because of the state
of a Seer, for Judas, who was an Apostle of Christ and was even able to cast
out demons, proves that, although he was a Priest and a Bishop, nevertheless
had fallen at a later stage, however this did not take away from the fact that
he was a Priest and genuine follower of Christ.
Likewise even though the Seers of
Medjugorje may not live up to the expectations of those that would believe
that Heaven would choose to communicate with someone whose life appeared
questionable and even would seem quite contrary to what is expected of them.
This however, does not necessarily have to be so. From the many reports that
have been heard, have not the Seers become daily communicants, more prayerful
souls, regarding of their trait in life. Did not Our Lord say Himself, you
will know His Followers by the fruit they show? Even if the Seers may have
gone off the track, the visions in the beginning were true.
It was due to the lack of leadership of
many influencing souls that the Seers became confused with the many issues and
questions asked of them during the visions. Our Lord said by the fruits you
will know them. Have not the fruits of Medjugorje been the countless thousands
of conversions, cures and many signs? Can it be honestly said that these are
not of God - is not conversion the greatest of the signs? In the Gospels and
the Acts of the Apostles, it speaks of the Great Conversions of thousands, was
this not a sign that God gave to the Jews and others that this was the visible
fruit of the Redemptive Work of Christ?
Your Grace, you asked Our Lady for a sign,
you looked in the heavens for Great Wonders like those of little faith who
need extreme great signs to believe yet God worked the greatest of signs, the
Conversion of Hearts. Yet even though there are apparent great contradictions
surrounding the Seers and the Messages - was not Christ himself a Sign of
Contradiction, and yet it was true? Our Lady has given you the sign, so quiet,
yet so marvellous - as the Bread and Wine changed into the Body and Blood of
Our Lord at Mass, is the Greatest of Miracles in its silence, so is the
conversion of a heart. Medjugorje is a Sign of Contradiction yet remains truly
a Heavenly Manifestation. Yes, the Seers are having problems due to the
interference of the Evil One - yet the Apparition Place of Our Holy Mother
remains true. Can we truthfully say Our Lady has to appear, only at this
place, or at a certain time? Did not Sister Lucy of Fatima, also see Our Lady
in the Convent, which is not at Fatima? Our Holy Mother can do all.
Like you, Your Grace, I too love Our Lady
and would do everything in my power to uphold Her but please you must
reconsider the matter of Medjugorje. Do not judge hastily. Do not stop the
people from going to Medjugorje lest you may find yourself fighting God and
truth as the Jewish Leaders in Jerusalem said to the Apostles.
It is mentioned that the prophesied signs
have not come yet, so therefore it must be false. No! Did not Our Lady of
Fatima say on the 13th of October, that She would give a Sign at 12.00 Noon.
It did not come at Noon but several hours later. Think of Jonah and the Whale.
Did not Jonah rebel and hesitate against God because God's prophecy was not
fulfilled? We must exercise more Prayers and much patience. Give it time for
the prophecies given at Medjugorje are true as they are the same worldwide and
will be fulfilled to the sorrow of many. Remember God is God - His Ways are
not our ways - His time not our time. I know you love God and His Mother and
seek only the truth but please use your authority wisely with patience.
Yes, there are Messages which are in
conflict, but use the words of Saint Paul - to test all the spirits, keep what
is good and discard what is bad. Medjugorje is not Fatima - we are in
different times where Heaven is Manifesting itself nearly everyday throughout
the world. These prophecies of today are no different than the ones of the
Saints of the past. Many of the Saints of the past were placed in similar
situations but were proven to be correct.
One last item I wish to bring to your
attention concerning Garabandal and the unfulfillment of the prophecies given
there. I would like it to be pointed out that the Bishop of the Province has
personally said Mass at Garabandal and has approved the erection of a Chapel
at the Holy Site where Mass is now celebrated frequently. Also you may recall
that Father Pio of Italy, now going for canonisation, also believed in
Garabandal. I am sure you know of what I am saying.
If you wish to discard my letter, I would
ask you but one favour before you do. Please go and see the Pope. He will tell
you how he believes in Medjugorje and also in the Apparition of Nowra,
Australia, even though my own Bishop has made the decision as you did, but in
his case without an investigation.
With much Love and Respect to you, I thank
you for reading this letter. May Jesus Christ Bless you and may His Most
Blessed Mother cover you with Her Mantle.
Your lowly servant in Christ.
The 'Little Pebble'
Visit
to Medjugorje
On 21st September, 1987, four companions and I
arrived in Split as part of our world trip. The next day we travelled by car to
the small village of Medjugorje. As we approached I saw Our Lady. She was
standing above the village Church which is so famous now for the wondrous
manifestations to several young children which had taken place since 1981. As we
approached the site, we came upon many small shops, all along the road, which
were selling the religious material of the Apparition. Our Holy Mother had
greeted me as we entered the actual sight of the Church. I had expected a
welcome from the Spiritual Director of the Seers, Father Tomislav Vlasic, who
had given me an invitation to come to Medjugorje as far back as 1986. This
invitation was transmitted to me by a priest and a friend of mine. However, we
learnt that he was no longer there, but had been sent on a retreat.
We entered the Church around twelve noon. A
crowd of about 500 was attending Mass. The Parish Priest was speaking about the
Apparition in French. We then decided to go and meet the Seers. One of my
companions who knew some of the Seers went to speak with one of them and told
her that I had arrived. She said that Vicka was home attending to the pilgrims.
As we approached Vicka's home, the parish priest was in attendance. He then left
in a hurry. The next moment Vicka invited me and my companions into her home. It
was close to 3.00pm.
I spoke a short while to Vicka, through a
translator, and told her that Our Lady was coming shortly. Set below is the
message I received from Our Lady on 22nd September, 1987 at the home of Vicka:
"I see a cross standing in the sky. Saint Michael
has also been standing there, and now I can see, on a beautiful white cloud, I
can see the Blessed Mother coming forward. Our Blessed Mother is dressed in a
very light coloured grey type of clothing and Her veil is very, very thin. I can
see through the veil. In her right hand, She is holding a beautiful Rosary. Our
Lady now looks over to Vicka, and She is looking towards us again, and She takes
the Rosary and kisses Jesus."
OUR LADY: "I
Bless you My child, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost. Amen. I greet you My child, My Little Pebble of Love, and the sweet
children that I appear to on these Holy Grounds of Medjugorje. I sent you here,
My child, even though there is much controversy surrounding yourself, especially
to those that believe that I do not come to you. However, I have come today to
bear witness to the children and to you. My children who see Me on the Holy
Grounds of Medjugorje will confirm this Apparition of today; so the whole world
knows that I am the Mother of Peace, the Mother of Love, and the Mother of
Unity. This is the reason, My dear son, I send you to all the Apparitions so all
may know that I am the Mother of Love and the Mother of Truth. I come to this
Nation to tell the children to believe in the Messages that I have given to the
seers of Medjugorje. The world must believe in this great Message that I have
given here. I am your Mother, your Heavenly Mother of Love and I Bless you with
My Immaculate Heart and give you Peace. In the Name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Go in the Peace of Christ, for He is the only
Way, the only Truth, the only Hope.
Continue now, My son, on your journey
throughout Europe to unite the children of the Light, that they may be made
strong to fight the evil that exists in the world, especially the evil of
Godlessness. I welcome you, My son, to this [these] Holy Grounds that are the
Grounds of Peace with a Message of Love for the world. I Bless you all sweet
children, In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Amen."
During the message Vicka could not see Our Lady.
However, Our Lady said that She would come again later to confirm this message
to the Seers of Medjugorje. The meeting and message was relatively short. After
the meeting, we proceeded up the hill of the Apparition next to Vicka's home. We
prayed and left for the Church again. We had decided to go and see the Parish
Priest as a sign of courtesy. However, when we arrived, he was too involved with
the work of the Apparition. We could not remain any longer as we needed to catch
the boat back to Italy that same night. Thus ended my short visit to Medjugorje.
The next day, back in Italy, we met with
Marietta, the Seer and Mystic of Ascoli. She advised us that Our Lady took her
in bilocation to Medjugorje so that she could bear witness to the message I had
received the previous day at Vicka's home. She also said that Our Lady again
took her later that evening to bear witness to the message given to Vicka by Our
Lady. It was during this message that Our Lady spoke to them about the Little
Pebble's message. When we arrived back in Australia on the 19th of October, I
was advised that Medjugorje had released a statement about me and that this
statement was being circulated throughout the world. I asked Our Lady about this
through the Seer Marietta. Set out below is the message given on the 28th
September, 1987, at 9.30pm, at the Seer's home.
MARIETTA: I can see Our Lady dressed in
white with a bouquet of white roses in Her Hands. I can see Medjugorje and the
room where Our Lady appeared to my brother, the 'Little Pebble', (Vicka's room),
when he was there on the 22nd of September 1987.
OUR LADY:
"Where I have appeared to my children in Medjugorje, who are denying My
Presence. They must not do this. They are wrong. They did not believe My Words.
They denied My Presence. I am the Queen of Heaven. They must obey My Command
because I did speak of the 'Little Pebble'. They falsified and denied My
Presence. This is not true. They are making my son look atrocious and barbaric.
My poor son, My poor son the 'Little Pebble'. I, Mary the Immaculate, the Virgin
Mary, the Queen of Peace, during this great suffering, place the 'Little Pebble'
close to Me."
(Then, while still in ecstasy, a question was
asked to Our Lady: Which one of the Seers saw Our Lady on the 22nd of September
to whom Our Lady spoke to about the 'Little Pebble'?)
OUR LADY:
"Vicka has denied My presence, therefore, she shall be punished. The priest
went away and the 'Little Pebble' did not act in such a way as to enter her
house forcefully. My children went in like angels in My little house (Vicky's
room) where I appeared to the 'Little Pebble' which they, Vicky and the others,
denied it."
(Our Lady, describing what transpired on the
22nd of September when the 'Little Pebble', the 'Trumpeter', (Seer from the
U.S.A.), and three companions, went to see Vicka.)
OUR LADY:
"The 'Little Pebble' was invited and he and his companions went into
Vicka's room and the 'Little Pebble' and his companions behaved like children of
God, not like demons. They (Vicka and the priest) denied My Presence. They will
be punished; tell them.
The Priest who used his hands to write
against My 'Little Pebble' has to detract [retract] it. Pray for them. They are
falling into the deep pit. They denied My Apparition. I did appear and it is not
[true] that I did not appear. I appeared and spoke of the 'Little Pebble' to
Vicka."
MARIETTA: I can still see the vision but
I cannot understand what the 'Little Pebble' is saying as it is in another
language. "Oh Mother, my Mother dressed in dazzling white!" Our
Lady is smiling. "This Message you are giving me can be sent to the
world."
OUR LADY:
"It will not harm you because I am with you. You speak the truth and the
truth will not damage you. It can be sent wherever it is desired to be sent. It
is I who am speaking, Mary the Immaculate, the Virgin Mary, Mother of God and
all humanity. I give you, Marietta, and My 'Little Pebble', My Holy Blessing. In
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Pray, My
children, pray for My son, the 'Little Pebble' who is suffering atrociously and
barbaricly. Dear daughter Marietta, you pray for him. I know you are praying for
him, but pray much. They, the people of Medjugorje, are reducing him to a rag,
but there is Me who watches over him, for he is to be for the whole world.
That false letter they wrote in Medjugorje
against the 'Little Pebble': they have to repent. They must retract it. I have
spoken and that is enough. I am the Immaculate Conception, the Most Blessed
Virgin Mary, Mother of God and all humanity. I Bless you, in the Name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."
I continued to offer my support and prayers for
the Visionaries of Medjugorje. In October, the Priests of Medjugorje issued this
Declaration concerning my visit to Medjugorje:
Declaration
These last few days, we were asked several
times, whether the 'Little Pebble' came to Medjugorje, and what kind of
relations (contacts) he had with the Seers of Medjugorje.
1.
We heard that: he pretends that the Blessed Virgin spoke to the
Medjugorje Seers about him.
2.
We heard that: 'The Little Pebble' pretends that Father Tomislav Vlasic
had officially invited him and declared him authentic.
3.
We heard that: 'The Little Pebble' was at Medjugorje. During his visit to
Medjugorje none of the Fathers had any contact with him. He avoided us on
purpose. Among all the Seers he had contact only with Vicka.
4.
According to Vicka's testimony, he spoke to her briefly and spent little
time in her room. He Blessed himself with a cross and said he was a Seer. Later,
he pretended he had received a message with Vicka.
5.
Here, we declare that 'the Little Pebble' was not invited by anyone.
6.
None of us is in any way in contact with him. Father Slavko Barbaric
spoke to the Seers in the name of the parish. They say that it is not true that
Mary spoke to them about him.
7.
He did not receive a message with Vicka. In other words, his sayings are
totally false.
8.
Then, we withdraw entirely from what he said and we ask all friends of
truth to do the same.

Gabriel's Testimony
The following is a Testimonial from Father
Gabriel de Montfort to The Editor of the Medjugorje Sentinel, Mr. John Cockcraft,
on 20th June, 1990.
Dear Editor,
I am a Dutch Priest who worked in Haiti from
1958 until 1988 as a Montfort Missionary. Since June, 1988 I joined the Saint
Charbel Order. With very much interest I read `The Medjugorje Sentinel', No,. 6
June, 1990.
I was happy to see in your edition the photo of
Fr. Terstroet, a Dutch Montfort Missionary working now in Iceland. I know he was
involved in the appearance of `Our Lady of All Nations' in Amsterdam, so many
years ago (the statue that has served as model for the statue of Akita-Japan),
but his involvement was not very well appreciated by his Superior. (Nothing new
under the sun!). I was happy to notice his inextinguishable flame of love for
Our Lady and the Youth! But This is not the reason why I write you.
You ask (p.47) concerning the phenomenon of
weeping statues in Australia: does anyone know of another? I know that there has
been a statue of `Rosa Mystica' that has weeped some years ago. The statue was
from a member of a prayer group founded by the `Little Pebble'. Besides, I saw
myself, February 13, 1988, how a statue of `Rosa Mystica' weeped on the Holy
Grounds of Nowra (included two photos I have taken - sorry, the photos are not
so clear!). At that time I came expressly from Haiti to have a look in Nowra, to
make my personal investigation. I did not ask for a sign; but a beautiful sign
was given to me.
You mention Brother Joseph Francis (p.50). Did
you know that there was also a statue of `Our Lady of the Ark, Mary Our Mother,
Help of Christians' - a statue given to him by the `Little Pebble' - that has
weeped, fulfilling a prophecy of Our Lady who has said: "Tell Brother
Joseph Francis the statue that he will shortly receive bearing the Image of `Our
Lady of the Ark, Mary Our Mother, Help of Christians' will one day shed tears,
and some days later, blood. This will be a sign to the world of My Appearance
here in Australia." (April 19, 1986 No. 85)! Not only Brother Joseph
Francis is united with the `Little Pebble', but also other Seers you mentioned,
as the Seers of Kibeho, Oliveto Citra, Italy, Sister Agnes, Akita (Japan)... The
different signs noticed elsewhere have been observed also in Nowra, as the
spinning of the sun, which have [has] been witnessed by photos, videos, and many
thousands of people in the past years (many of them have written testimonials to
the Bishop of Wollongong). Concerning the change of `colours' of the Rosaries: I
have seen many of them in Nowra; the last one happened June 13, 1990 before my
eyes.
Rightly you wrote (p.31): "Having seen
and heard this we didn't have any more doubts as to what we should do - it was
refreshing and exhilarating to hear Our Lady affirm that She is trying to get
Her messages through to all of us and that we should heed them well. The number
of reported apparitions appear to indicate that She is leaving no avenue
unexplored in Her determination to get these urgent messages through to everyone
for the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart." And it is true what you said:
... "There will be many similarities, and in some, future events will be
more explicit than Medjugorje."
Indeed, as a text of the Holy Scripture has to
be read as a part of whole Holy Scripture, because it is the same Holy Ghost who
is speaking, so the message of one Apparition place has to be heard in the whole
of the other messages of other Apparition places, because it is the same Our
Lady Who is speaking. This was for me an important argument for the authenticity
of the Apparitions in Nowra: the concordance with all the Messages or so many
other Apparition places. Therefore, I was wondering whether you have overlooked
the mention of the Appearance in Nowra? The Messages are the same; the signs are
the same. Would it not be the same Our Lady Who is speaking?
The opposition of the local Bishop of Wollongong
is very well known in Australia, and in the world... as is known the position of
the Bishop of Mostar!
You may publish this letter, if you wish. My
excuses for my poor English. Finally I would have a subscription of your very
interesting publication. United in love for the same Our Lady, Mary, Our Mother.

I was nevertheless attacked following a public
denunciation by the local Priests at Medjugorje but discerning people were not
taken in by the controversy especially when Father Yves Marie Blais, SMM, a de
Montfort Priest from Quebec Canada, and a friend of mine, issued a public
defence of me. Father Blais was well known and respected and had several times
conducted Pilgrimages to Medjugorje. He had himself written two public works on
the Apparition. I supplied him with all my documentation and answered his
queries on the preceding events to his satisfaction. His public declaration in
support of me was published on 18th December 1987 and a copy was submitted to
Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, who was at that time leading the Ecclesiastical
Commission into the investigation of the Apparition at Medjugorje.

Re: Apparitions in progress at Medjugorje - To hand over to the Commission
"ad hoc"
Open
Letter
by Father Y.M. Blais
At the time of my eleventh trip to Medjugorje in
October 1987, Father Slavko Barbaric, handed me a letter which they were
spreading in the Parish of Saint Jacques of Medjugorje dated October 1987,
relating to another Seer of Australia, known publicly as the 'Little Pebble'
(Petit Caillou).
I wish to bring forward some comments and
documents complementary to this letter, which risks in spreading confusion
rather than being enlightening.
1.
My only goal is to serve the Cause of Heaven, with regard to the truth
and the persons involved. I do this of my own initiative after having prayed,
searched for and consulted the first sources: the Seers themselves, the Priests
of the Parish, the 'Little Pebble' and the 'Trumpeter' themselves.
2.
Copy of this official letter with the seal of the Parish - enclosed
(Document No. 1)
3.
It is not signed by the Parish Priest, because P. Tomislav Pervan told
me, in an interview that he was not in Medjugorje, at the time of the visit of
the 'Little Pebble'.
4.
P. Slavko is no longer officially connected to the Parish. The only
official signature is that of Father Ivan Dugancic, the curate, officially at
the Parish.
5.
I have discussed some of the contents with the Curé of Medjugorje and
politely expressed to him my opinion saying not to do with another Seer that
which they would not wish to be done with those of Medjugorje: to produce a
premature judgement without an objective and official inquiry of the Church.
6.
I recognise that the Fathers have the right to their personal opinion of
not wishing to associate themselves with some people, while distinguishing
themselves well with some Seers and I have then emphasised, that it is
necessary, to, at least remove the last phrase: "and we ask all friends
of the truth to do the same" and then not to involve others for the
Priests of Medjugorje are not an authority to approve or condemn another current
Apparition (as is the case even for those of Medjugorje).
7.
We have to leave this to the one who has the authority to do it (the
Church).
8.
I have also asked Father Tomislav to omit or modify the following phrase:
"his sayings are totally false." Why? Because one does not
judge anyone, through preconceived ideas or by hearsay. (We heard) as this
letter shows. It is contrary to the same Gospel.
9.
At this moment, I do not have on hand Documents No. 2 (enclosed) which I
obtained afterwards, directly from the Seer, in order to know both points of
view.
10.
I asked the Priests of Medjugorje if it was true that no one had invited
the 'Little Pebble'. I was given the answer: no one, not even P. Tomislav
Vlasic. At this moment, I wish to verify the same words from the 'Little
Pebble', who had said to me personally, last May, in Montreal, at the time of
his visit to Canada, of having been invited by one of the Fransican Priests,
mentioning that it was a Spiritual Director. I had then mentioned some names and
he had let it be heard (according to my personal opinion) that it was P.
Tomislav Vlasic (Document 6).
As no one, neither the Fransican
Father of Medjugorje nor P. Slavko, were able to guarantee with certainty that
no one had invited him, I also proposed to them, to modify this passage - not to
make an affirmation which would exceed the reality, especially as we all agreed
that P. Vlasic should not have affirmed that he declared it authentic. This was
not his concern any more than ours and this was outside of his jurisdiction as
the Church reserves this for Herself - under the circumstances, the Pope has the
final say, according to the Law of the Church, as the last resort.
11.
I wish to affirm here, with the support of a witness, that P. Tomislav
Pervan seemed disposed to modify the letter but after having reconsulted P.
Slavko, who came to find us again - they decided to change nothing, Father
Slavko remains completely closed to the matter.
12.
My proposal was to obtain from them an eventual retraction as the facts
contradicted their affirmations, which were not proven in the written text, nor
supported by worthy arguments. These are not signatures which guarantee a
reasoning, of which the premises are "hearsay" (we heard) -
such was my reasoning. For I am very favourable to the Events and the Messages
of the Queen of Peace; submitting my final judgement to that of the Church. But
it is necessary to know, to disassociate certain human interventions which
exceed the limits.
13.
I do not wish to strike needlessly against the cause of Medjugorje by a
similar letter of harm a discredit.
14.
Neither do I wish to see the Fransican Fathers use a manner of
proceeding, identical to that which had already been used against Medjugorje and
which they disproved of firmly: - to be judged without being heard - neither
them nor the Seers and without an objective Commission, which is a right for all
- for them and for this other Seer whose Messages are also spread throughout the
world, in different languages.
15.
Now this is desirable for all possible Seers. This was not done for the
'Little Pebble'; not even by his Bishop of Wollongong - who said what he was not
able to say - in all justice and fairness to say that he is condemned by the
Church or by his Bishop when according to the Canon Law of the Church (even
according to the Gospel) he had not passed before his Bishop nor before an
Official Commission.
The "friends of the
truth" in the Church know this principle very well of which I believe
it fitting to remind them amiably so as to save them from going too far and fail
in charity and justice by their opinion which is of some importance throughout
the world, an account of the notoriety of Medjugorje.
16.
As they are not the judges of the 'Little Pebble', nor of Medjugorje,
which is unable to be self-sufficient of its own accord, it is advisable to
speak with more prudence and discretion. Therefore if the Fathers wish to
disassociate themselves from the 'Little Pebble' they should do this by their
own authority and not involve the Seers, who in this place because of the ten
secrets and all that is referred to and having seen the sociological context of
the country are bound by these secrets and the Fathers should not impose on them
their points of view.
Not, that they were not able to ask
what had happened to Vicka, but they should not have tried to prevent the
'Little Pebble' from seeing them freely as do all the Pilgrims and that the
Fathers should have taken the time to greet him as they were already aware of
his visit.
Father Slavko had preceded him to
Vicka's place and so had seen him, apart from having been warned of the fact by
one of the Seers.
17.
I myself had already warned the Fathers and the Seers of his visit and
had greeted them in his name at his own request. This was simply a genuine sign
of openness. I received the reply - he can come as long as he conducts himself
as any other pilgrim. Then why say afterwards that he did not wish to meet the
Fathers? The pilgrims are they obliged to meet them?
Why judge beforehand if he was not
able to meet them and to say that he had done this consciously in order to avoid
them all? This is going a bit too far without having the proof of a similar
affirmation.
18.
That is why Document 2 from the 'Little Pebble' himself, shows that it
was not so. One does not prejudge intentions too quickly. It is better to go to
the source and to the person himself.
19.
To whom did he say that he had an Apparition together with Vicka. Vicka
herself told me in an interview that she did not have an Apparition, the same
time as he did. I believe her! But nothing tells us that she did not have an
Apparition at another time, concerning this subject.
There, then, appears the possibility
of "hidden truth".
20.
The strength of affirmation of the letter from the Fathers, without
written proof as a support, implies a weakness of any arguments which are value
and therefore the possibility of error.
21.
The Fathers have told me, they no longer wish to know of the Messages of
the 'Little Pebble', except for Father Petar who told me that he receives them
in Germany (without pointing out that he had even read them all). How then to
judge this Seer except by hearsay (we heard)? I have been given some negative
testimony from Germany (Document 3). I add another positive one (Document 4).
Which is the most just judgement?
22.
My purpose is the following: the cause of Medjugorje belongs to the
Blessed Virgin, who gives, at Medjugorje (until now) Messages of Peace for the
Heart and for the world. Would the Blessed Virgin wish this Apparition to be
self-sufficient by itself as She Appears in so many other places simultaneously
and gives the same Messages, with the difference that She is more explicit on
the misfortunes and the events to come, in Her other Apparitions?
23.
The answer is no! Medjugorje is not self-sufficient by itself, no more
than Lourdes or Fatima, more especially as certain contemporary Apparitions are
already approved and the Church always places them on a tie with the others and
with the entire life of faith. It is true also that each Apparition has its own
Mission, distinct from each other, which removes all danger of confusion. They
are only to be complementary to each other.
That it why Medjugorje is not to
isolate itself, nor to try to isolate the pilgrims while prejudging too quickly
and without understanding the other Seers. The Testimonies of others are valued,
not by their objectivity alone and not by prejudgements.
24.
Enclosed is also the Message from a Seer of Montreal, who refers to this
letter, as well (Document 5). I know this Seer very well and have been able to
talk to her, concerning this matter.
25.
The Messages of some are equivalent to the Messages of others, when they
come from Heaven. One cannot reject them all, off-handedly since Heaven speaks
in different places at different times without referring to any of the others
except to confirm or invalidate them which is a very positive sign if it comes
from the interior of the Messages of the Seers, to begin with and afterwards
through the comments of individuals who are informed on both sides.
26.
Enclosed is the Document likewise from the Bishop of Wollongong (Document
7) who also judged without supporting proof as did the Bishop of Mostar for
Medjugorje. Yet again we see that the wisdom and prudence of the Church in
establishing definite procedures to follow - is based on a long experience and
follow it, is of every interest to us.
27.
A similar letter is already a cause of confusion and astonishment in
several countries and therefore does not serve the cause of Medjugorje well.
That is why I have believed it opportune to present these clarifications. I make
it in all openness and in the service without prejudging the cause in progress,
but wishing to follow the complete plan of God and the Blessed Virgin.
In the Heart of Jesus and in the Immaculate
Heart of Mary,
