OVERVIEW OF SAINT PETER'S RANGERS

Saint Peter's Rangers is a youth organisation within the Order of Saint Charbel modelled on the principles found in many other world organisations dedicated to the formation of the youth. For instance the Boy Scouts, and the Civil Air Patrol, Girl Guides, just to name a few. It is open to both boys and girls and has a Junior and Senior division.

What makes Saint Peter's Rangers unique is its identity as a Catholic youth organisation under the care of the Order of Saint Charbel. It upholds the traditional Catholic principles of Devotion to God and Country with the added discipline of a learning environment with special focus on the Australian bush. There are many special bush-crafts as well as animal and plant life which are unique in Australia.

The full integration with the families of the Community provides a mutual support and good learning experience which uphold the family values. The parents provide an indispensable coordination role in the support of the activities and projects undertaken.

The original inspiration for the Saint Peter's Rangers came from a desire to provide a good learning environment for the purpose of inspiring leadership skills among our youth. Thus the draft of the initial documents. The lesson planning comes from the vast experience of the members who have expertise in certain crafts and handy-work suitable for training our youth. They are taught the discipline of good study and self-presentation. The focus is on the dignity of each Ranger as a person and the fraternal charity of the group learning and working together for common goals.

The following headings highlight the essential elements which define Saint Peter's Rangers:
