Most Honourable Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono
President of Indonesia

Your Honour,

I greet you in the Name of our common God!

I believe you to be an honest and respectable man, Mr. President, and I believe you have the power to change the course of history -- one that is vital at this time for your Country and ours.

The matter I raise is that of Schapelle Corby. It is an extreme travesty of justice. You know well, Your Honour, that this woman is innocent. The evidence was very weak against her. Simply to say -- because she had the drugs in her bag constituted a crime -- is not so, because the overwhelming facts show that the only witness for the Prosecution's case was that the Customs people told her to open her bag. Consider, it was a boogie bag, without locks.

Schapelle Corby had no criminal record, and came to visit her sick father. How can any Judge come to the conclusion that Corby was guilty?

You may say that you cannot interfere with the Justice System -- but what is a Justice System that acts contrary to truth?

The repercussions of this Trial will be felt far and wide, Your Honour, unless this judgement is reversed, and Corby is freed.

I guarantee that one-hundred-thousand (100,000) people who visit Bali -- and many more that visit your Country -- will visit no more until this atrocity is corrected.

You and your Country would not be disgraced for reversing the decision, but rather upheld as a true and fair nation. You have the power, Mr. President, to change the course.

The whole world has looked on as an innocent young woman has been judged wrongly.

I have used my own power and influence in some one-hundred-and-sixty-seven (167) Countries around the world to boycott your Country should this unsavoury judgement of Miss Schapelle Corby remain.

Consider this, Your Honour: the Judge presiding boasted to the Media that he had convicted five-hundred (500) people of drug trafficking since his appointment as Judge -- and would not be swayed by the plea and tears of Miss Corby. This sounds like a man of prejudice and pride, for he was not looking for truth, but simply insulting the true Justice System of a Nation.

It is in the best interest of your Country -- and more so of Bali -- that you make it possible to change the verdict in the Appeal Process -- not in six (6) or eighteen (18) moths time, but immediately.

I ask you in all faithfulness that you as President of a huge Country like Indonesia, please reverse the current verdict, or pardon her so that she may be freed.

One last item: the Judges ruled a verdict of guilty against the Bali Bombers -- yet they (Bali Bombers) killed some two-hundred (200) people and only received a joint sentence of two-and-a-half (2.5) years. Do you believe this is a fair sentence? It should have been the death penalty!

On the day that Schapelle Corby travelled -- there was a "drug bust" at Sydney Airport -- the Baggage Handlers would have placed the drugs in her bag not to be caught.

I hope you realise, Your Honour, that the relationship between Australia and your Country will be strained if this matter is not resolved.

Please consider, carefully, al that has been said.

Wishing God's Blessings,
