DIOCESAN COMMISSION On 5 May 2000, Most Rev. Philip Wilson, then Bishop of Wollongong, established a Commission, consisting of two theologians and two canon lawyers, to investigate the writings and works of the Little Pebble. The following documents are the major correspondence from this Commission and including the replies of the Little Pebble. In order to understand the relevance of the Commissions findings it is necessary for the viewer to read through these important documents. The most significant document is the Official Affidavit of the Little Pebble dated 14 November 2000. The reason it is so important is explained in the affidavit. The reader will see why the Little Pebble had to refuse to sign the original transcript (21 October 2000) submitted to him by the Commission -- and thus why he did sign the amended version of the same transcript (14 November 2000) which allowed for his fuller explanation of his answers to the 63 questions. This point is fundamental to understanding the unfairness of the Commission's final report to the Bishop of Wollongong.
Appointed Director of the Commission - Fr. Kevin Matthews, PhD. DCL, STL (on behalf of the Bishop of Wollongong - 5 May 2000) |
