Over the past nineteen years I have been an associate of William Kamm, and for thirteen of those years have assisted him in the office as his Private Secretary, coming to know him very well, not only in a work situation, but as a good friend. I also look after the finances of the Order and, as a result, have a good insight into what is involved in not only the running of this Organisation, but also into the ideals and personality of the Moderator.

Mr. Kamm has many good qualities. He is a fair and just man, a strong leader, thoughtful and considerate. He is a man of great strength of character, integrity and compassion. He is humble and charitable -- always seeing the good in people. He has a high degree of patience, making himself available to listen to the problems and worries of the members who come to him at all hours of the day in the office -- and even in the evenings at home -- to seek guidance.

I have followed the media coverage over the many years that I have been involved in this Mission -- especially over the last three years since Mr. Kamm was first arrested. I was in the office at the time when the Police raided our Community. The media were aware in advance that this was going to occur. A helicopter was flying over the property, dozens of armed police surrounding our home -- some with police dogs. One of the police stated in the office that they thought we were like WACO and expected resistance because of what they had heard about us. He said they were surprised when we didn't resist or cause any trouble.

What had Mr. Kamm done that it would take an army of Police to raid the property? And why did the Press know in advance? It is obvious to anyone who has eyes to see that there is collusion between the Police, the Press, and those who have charged Mr. Kamm with these so-called offences -- not to mention the Catholic Church, which has been persecuting him for many years. What hope did Mr. Kamm have of a fair Trial after having his reputation torn to shreds over so many years?

Soon the corruption, collusion and conspiracy will be brought out into the open and exposed, and the "guilty" verdict overturned. William is an innocent man, and God will uphold his Chosen Prophet and confound those who have conspired against him. This Court Case has been a travesty of justice, for his rights as a citizen of this country were totally ignored, the accusations and charges had no factual basis -- and the picture painted by the Catholic Church, media and others, have portrayed an innocent man as a person worthy only of derision and scorn.

One of Mr. Kamm's witnesses, who had indisputable evidence, was referred to as a "liar". I witnessed the bias and prejudice against Mr. Kamm, especially amongst the Press in and outside the Courtroom, as well as from other spectators. How can a Jury make an unbiased assessment when the general public have already judged him guilty before he has even entered the Courtroom?

He is constantly referred to in the Newspapers and on Television as the Leader of a "Doomsday Cult", a "Guru", when in fact he is the Founder of a new Religious Order which adheres to the Traditions of the Church and has Communities throughout the world, with half a million followers. I have no doubt that William Kamm will be exonerated at his Appeal, but how can his good name ever be retrieved after so many years of being portrayed in the Media in such a shameful and disrespectful way.

The "alleged" victim had no evidence whatsoever, only her word against Mr. Kamm's. I was a witness to much of the happenings in Court and amazed that any one could be found guilty without tangible evidence to support the charges. Nor could I understand how people of education and common sense could ignore crucial and factual evidence given by witnesses for Mr. Kamm which confirmed his innocence. I must point out that the Jury was not present during much of the Court dialogue, and the Judge put a "Non Publication" Order on the Press. If the Jury had been present I am sure their verdict would have been much different.

At one time the Prosecutor requested, and was permitted, to change the dates of an indictment to co-inside with the dates of the letters. Again towards the end of the Trial the Prosecutor wanted to amend the main Indictment, as the Charge did not exist in 1993, when it was allegedly committed.

Several copies of important evidence in the form of a Contract with the Prosecution's main witness, had "allegedly" disappeared or been destroyed. This Contract would have revealed the conspiracy and helped to exonerate Mr. Kamm.

Other anomalies occurred during this "Trial"; they are perfectly obvious in the Transcript. I believe that they will cause much embarrassment to the Judge in the future, due to his blatant mishandling and misdirecting in points of Law which Mr. Greg Stanton attempted to have addressed so that justice might be served.

Mr. Kamm has my total support and trust, and I am proud to be associated with him and the Order of St Charbel.

Janice Williams
