About the Trainer
My general interest in mudbrick building began in the late 1970's. By the time I had moved to the Shoalhaven in 1983, I had already decided to build in mud brick. However, there were still a lot of uncertainties in my mind about the process. Fortunately, at the time, there was a workshop in mudbrick building that enabled many questions to be answered and encouraged discussion with other owner builders in a similar situation.
Since 1983 I have been involved in monthly mudbrick 'field days' at which most aspects of mudbrick building, owner building and associated topics have been discussed from many points of view. I have been involved in the construction of
more than 20 mudbrick buildings during this period.
I have also worked with clay as a professional potter since 1987. You can visit my Virtual Studio at www.shoal.net.au/~sdaly
